Most of us carry memories that never quite finished processing they stay stuck the way they felt in the moment, instead of settling into something that simply happened. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (guided eye movement, tapping, or sound) alongside a structured protocol to help the brain complete that processing. You won't be asked to narrate every detail out loud. My role is to guide the process and hold space, not to have you re-tell the story from beginning to end. For many people this makes EMDR feel more manageable than they expected though every person's experience with it is different, and I won't promise a specific outcome before we've actually worked together.
